In the news **Warning + Support for Water-Affected Hydraulic Equipment** If your hydraulic equipment has been submerged - whatever you do - don't operate it! If you have hydraulic cylinders stored that have been in contact with flood water (for however brief a period) these will need to be inspected, as contaminated floodwater can enter the cylinders through the plastic caps in the ports. These cylinders will more than likely require disassembly, cleaning, seal replacement, and may even need the barrel to be re-honed or polished as the internal surface will rust quickly in contact with water and air.
